Beginner Icelandic is a free language learning app for Android users, developed by shotgun.experiments. It is designed to introduce beginners and enthusiasts to the Icelandic language. The app follows the 'a word a day' concept and provides up to 12 words a day of the user's choosing.
The app allows users to learn and test their knowledge on almost a thousand common and popular Icelandic words. The words that are learnt are tested repeatedly on a decreasing regularity basis, and if answered correctly, the app adjusts to test the user more on the word, while other words are learnt simultaneously. On the other hand, if the user answers incorrectly, the word is deactivated until the user gains more familiarity with it.
